Welcome back to another one of our QnA!
Welcome back to another one of our QnA! Below are more questions that we often hear
from our guests and friends who are curious about coffee.
Q: What can I use leftover coffee grounds for?
A very nice question. When we make coffee, we will often be left with the grounds and it
would be a pity to simply throw it away. It fills up the bin quite fast and you’re really missing out on getting more of that fragrant coffee smell. Here are some tips that you can do with your leftover grounds:
1. Neutralize odors
We implement this throughout our office, especially with the rainy season
approaching. Whenever a room starts to have a foul smell, we would take the coffee
grounds right out the basket and place it in cups in various corners of the room.
That way, we won’t have to worry about the smell anymore.
2. Exfoliate skin and scalp
Once you’re done with your coffee, you can simply add a little bit of water (or
coconut oil, whichever you prefer) and take the cup with you to the bathroom in
order to enjoy a spa day right in the comfort of your own home. Coffee grounds
tends to be coarse, so it will scrub the dead cells and dirt off your skin, leaving you
with smooth and soft skin. Use it on your scalp to do the same and stimulate hair
growth. Highly recommended to play some music and add some candles to really
get the sensation.
3. Plant fertilizer
Coffee contains plenty of minerals, such as nitrogen, calcium, potassium, iron,
phosporus, magnesium, and chromium. In order to use them as fertilizer, just
sprinkle some onto your soil and your plants will thank you.
That’s our top three usage for coffee grounds! Please let us know if you have more questions
